Dear Professor
Nov 21 2008, 9:32 PM EST
I also feel that the first midterm was unnecessarily difficult. I feel that this class should not be one that I devote a large portion of my time to, seeing as it is a required course. I would much rather spend that chunk of time studying for Organic Chemistry, or some other upper division course that I am taking on behalf of my major. Now don't get me wrong, I do all the readings and attend all of the lectures, and actively participate in my discussion, but I felt that your questions were too obscure. I felt that you looked through our assigned readings, and picked up random obscure facts that the majority of us would have dismissed as relatively unimportant compared to all of the other material presented. I really hope that you take our opinions into consideration for the final. Thank you. 4 out of 10 found this valuable. Do you? |

Now that the midterm is over and this site won't be used for important academic research by MMW students, I really feel a rebuttal to all the complaints on here is appropriate. Honestly, if you have an issue with a professor's exam or something related to his class, this really isn't going to help you change his mind. And complaining about how much work you have for a college level class really has no place period. The bottom line is, were you graded objectively on a this test? If not, you'd have a point to complain about. Yes it was difficult, but it wasn't impossible. Maybe you're approaching this from the wrong perspective: if you can't handle the courseload, take fewer classes. Good luck with MMW5.
